How to find the probability without replacement or dependent probability. This changes the probabilities.

Without replacement probability distribution. Without replacement means that you dont put the ball or balls back in the box so that the number of balls in the box gets less as each ball is removed. We can use a tree diagram to help us find the probability without replacement. Draw the probability tree diagram and write the probability of each branch.

Lets look at question 4 above. There are 52 cards and 13 clubs so the probability that the first card is a club is 1352there are 51 cards and 12 clubs left so the probability that thesecond card is a club given the first card was a club and not replaced is 1251. This is called probability without replacement or dependent probability.
